Lucketts Group was founded by Harry Luckett in 1926 as a haulier, mainly transporting livestock from the family farm.

Harry’s son David joined the firm and, after Harry’s death, quickly realised it would be easier to transport cargo that would load and unload themselves and so invested in his first coach, which he drove himself.

He remains the company chairman, but the business is now run day-to-day by his sons Ian and Steve. The firm also includes Coliseum Coaches, in Southampton, and Worthing Coaches.

The brief

To work alongside Lucketts Group’s marketing team (internal and external) to:

  • Raise the company’s profile in the media
  • Achieve recognition for Lucketts as being an industry leader
  • Achieve recognition for Lucketts’ growth aspirations
  • Maintain Lucketts’ reputation for its commitment to safety and training
  • To provide around-the-clock crisis support and advice should it ever be needed

What we have done

Briscoe French provides Lucketts Group with a suite of media releases each month, designed to complement the firm’s marketing activity.

Some of the highlights include a release about the firm’s work with Corgi to produce two limited-edition models of one of its newest vehicles. Creative photography and a sense of fun with the release ensured it gained great coverage in both consumer and trade press.

Other highlights include writing about the firm kicking 2015 off with a £2.3m investment in new vehicles, seven new staff and a prestigious business award win.
